Biography
Evgeny Titov was born in Kazakhstan. After training as an actor at the St. Petersburg Theatre Academy, he initially worked as an actor in Russia before studying directing at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. Evgeny works internationally and his work has taken him from Dresden State Theatre (My Heart is Pure, world premiere) and Linz State Theatre, to Düsseldorf Theatre (Shakespeare's Macbeth and Richard III as well as Arthur Miller's The Crucible), the Salzburg Festival (Maxim Gorky's Summer Guests) and to Munich Residenz Theatre. Credits include: Wozzeck (Oper Graz), Tri Sestri (Salzburg Festival), Iolanta (Vienna Staatsoper), King Lear (Düsseldorf Theatre), The Love for Three Oranges (Semperoper Dresden), Tannhäuser (Graz Opera), L’Orfeo, Lessons in Love and Violence (Opernhaus Zürich), The Cherry Orchard (Hessisches Staatstheater), Le Nozze di Figaro (Bayerische Staatsoper), Macbeth and Richard III (Düsseldorfer Shauspielhaus), L’Incoronazione di Poppea (Opera National du Rhin), Gier Unter Ulmen (Residenztheater Munich), Vater (Hessian State Theatre Wiesbaden) and Oedipe (Komische Opera Berlin).
