Loughlan Prior is an acclaimed choreographer recognised for his visually striking, narrative-driven work across stage and film. A former Soloist with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Prior was appointed the company's Choreographer in Residence in 2018, creating works including Cinderella, Hansel & Gretel, The Firebird, Ultra Violet and Woman of Words. His choreography has been commissioned and staged by Alberta Ballet, Ballet Ireland, BalletX, Milwaukee Ballet, Opera Australia, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Queensland Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Singapore Ballet and West Australian Ballet. His dance-films have screened at Berlin Filmhaus, Cannes Film Festival, Film Society of Lincoln Center and San Francisco Dance Film Festival.
