Ticket Exchanges, Resales and Refunds

We cannot exchange tickets to another RBO production or give refunds. However, there are flexible options available to you:

  • Up to 24 hours before the performance, you can exchange tickets for an account credit to use at a later date. You will need to do this online, via the Royal Ballet and Opera Account of the ticket purchaser. You can do this by clicking 'Return your tickets' in the Tickets tab. You will be charged an administrative fee of £4.50 per ticket.
  • If it is less than 24 hours before the performance or event, you can offer your tickets for resale through the RBO Box Office. You will be charged an administrative fee of £4.50 per ticket.
  • If you have purchased ticket protection through Secure My Booking (a third party service) at the time of booking your tickets, you can claim a refund for your ticket(s) in certain circumstances. Ticket refunds are offered through Secure My Booking in the event of: incapacity through accident, injury or sickness; severe travel delays including public transport strikes and severe weather preventing travel. Tickets purchased as part of a box cannot be refunded individually. The ticket protection fee is non-refundable. The full list of Terms and Conditions can be found on the Secure My Booking website. To make a claim, please visit the refund page on the Secure My Booking website
  • We do not offer exchanges on individual tickets sold as part of a box. A Royal Ballet and Opera account credit will be issued to the value of the collective price paid for all tickets within the box (minus administration fees of £4.50 per ticket).
  • The exception to our flexible booking options includes our Ballet Tea and Tour package. Ballet Tour and Tea tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable from 4 days before the date of your tour.

For instructions on how to exchange or resell tickets please read our Terms and Conditions of sale.
